Bahrain Culture Authority Offers an Array of Online Interactive Activities, Virtual Tours, World-Class Exhibitions via its e-websites

More than a month has passed since the cultural activities were put on hold temporarily in accordance with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s precautionary measures to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). However, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities has not halted its work plan strategy, masterminding a visionary endeavor transforming the actual daily activities into virtual reality shows and events. In fact, Bahrain Culture Authority started as early as last week to implement this vision by offering an array of cultural and educational events via its educational portal and other websites on a daily basis. BACA’s e-content is widely versified ranging between exhibitions, world –class concerts, virtual visits to historical sites, museums, visitor centers and shows, documentary films, and interactive activities for the all ages public.
Bahrain Culture Authority online social media networks have been working to lift the spirits of arts fans under quarantine and lockdown by streaming marvelous art, literature,  concerts,  offering virtual museum tours and online galleries through these BACA’s daily Hashtags# on  Twitter, Instagram and Facebook through (culturebah). The starting weekday figures BACA’s archives including all these events, achievements, concerts exhibitions, and world –class concerts that have been previously organized through its #Sundayarchives. On Monday, there is a double hashtags; Mondaymusuems# and Musuemfinds# presenting valuable information on museums in Bahrain, with special emphasis on artefacts and acquisitions, promoting also temporary hosted exhibitions.
Through its Tuesdaytourism#, Bahrain Culture Authroity offers a bouquet of detailed information about archeological and cultural sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain, while a synopsis and extracts shedding light on Bahrain’s culture by prominent figures of art and culture documented during their interviews are streamed online. Movies, such ‘Year of Art”, shedding light on Bahrain’s plastic formative artists are screened through Wednesdayextract hashtag. The public will certainly enjoy some of the brilliant achievements and great facts implemented by cultural projects through Fridayfacts#. Lastly, staurdaystory# tells us the story of Bahrain’s historical and civilizational achievements and the men and women behind this glory, as BACA’s series of documentary movies “Oral History”, tracing the rise and shine of Bahrain’s historical development through testimonies by many personalities from different cultural manifolds.
As to Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities ’website www.culture.gov.bh , there is no doubt that a tremendous effort has been made to offer the public the chance to be updated on the latest publications by BACA; books, magazines, literary manuals and other. Regarding interactive activities, Bahrain Culture Authority is keen to present a number of art initiatives, through which many art pioneers and figures can participate, such as “Culture Inspiration” initiative by Studio 244 to kick off in April 2020, while others will be announced successively later on.
The educational portal with all its training educational materials and paper works made and implemented during the previous festivals on its websites, are part and parcel of BACA’s strategy to spread awareness about importance of the educational and cultural accompanying activities conducted by BACA’s for the parents and children alike.
