H.E Shaikha Mai, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, looked ahead to a holy month filled with "goodness, love and tolerance" as Ramadan got under way in Bahrain and across the globe. H.E shared her best wishes for the month ahead, expressing her sincere warm feelings that this month May bring joy, safety, happiness and wealth to everyone. This message addressed to all BACA employees and staff via online, congratulating them and wishing them a blessed happy Ramadan, was broadcasted on 23 April 2020. H.E looked forward to see the contribution of everyone to enhance Bahrain Culture Authority vision in developing the cultural movement amid the exceptional hard times dictated by the outbreak of this world pandemic, Covid 19 virus and its spread around the globe.


In addition, H.E Shaikha Mai called on all BACA employees and staff to rethink the nature and pace of their daily habits and practices drastically affected by this pandemic, shedding light in her message on a number of UN Sustainable Development Goals; preserving of cities and local sustainable communities, peace and justice, making partnerships to achieve goals, eradication of poverty, good education, equal opportunities etc. H.E looked forward to the participation of BACA’s employees in generating new inventive ideas towards the implementation of “Culture and Sustainable Development” Theme, and produce a brainstorming creative thinking with regard to new cultural practices and plans for the development of communities and societies for the sake of new better life for the human race on this planet.
