ISESCO, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, will hold the Extraordinary Session of the Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, may Allah preserve him, in Manama, on 29 November 2018. The Conference will bring together ministers of culture from OIC Member States and their representatives, in addition to heads of several international and regional organizations. The Conference will discuss and adopt a number of documents and key cultural projects, namely: “Draft Action Programme on Promoting Islamic and International Support for the Preservation of Civilizational and Cultural Heritage in Al-Quds Al-Sharif”, and “Draft Manama Process on the Activation of Joint Islamic Cultural Action to face Extremism, Sectarianism and Terrorism”. The Conference will also issue the “Bahrain Declaration on Safeguarding Human Heritage and Facing Extremism”.
