Resin Art (Level I & II) Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre organizes a Resin Art (Level I & II) Workshop.  Resin is a new highly versatile material that can be used for a variety of things, handicrafts and works of art. It is used in decoration engineering, flooring formation, and furniture pieces. Moreover, Resin is also used, in combination with other materials and dyes, in creating innovative artistic formations of accessories, jewelry, and other works of art.

Workshop Topics include:

Basics of Resin Art:

  • Introduction to the materials used and types of resin.
  • How to properly prepare the materials and mixtures.

Safety Rules:

  • Teaching the correct methods for handling resin.
  • Use of personal protective equipment such as gloves and goggles.

Techniques for Pouring, Coloring, and Decorating:

  • How to pour resin into molds correctly.
  • Coloring techniques and adding glitter or other embellishments.

Adding Flowers and Stickers:

  • Methods for incorporating natural or artificial flowers into resin.
  • How to properly affix stickers and ensure their durability.

Final Finishing:

  • How to clean surfaces and remove bubbles.
  • Techniques for polishing and finishing to achieve a professional result.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Keychain: Can be customized with personal artistic touches.
  • Bookmark: Designed to suit various preferences.
  • Small Incense Holder or Small Box: Features attractive shapes and decorative techniques.
  • Small Plate: Designed to allow for experimentation and creativity.
