Oud Incense Making Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre organizes an Oud Incense Making Workshop. Oud and incense making techniques extend over centuries, relying on a deep knowledge of plants, natural materials and traditional techniques that have been developed and passed down through generations. Oud and incense making are considered an integral part of a deep cultural heritage in the Middle East and the Islamic world, where oud and incense are not only products. They have aromatic value but are symbols of tradition and pride in cultural identities.

 Workshop Topics include:

• Basics of Making Oud Incense: Participants will learn the fundamental processes and stages involved in crafting oud incense.
• Oud Incense Fixatives: Participants will gain knowledge about various fixatives and how to use them effectively.
• Adding and Blending Essential Oils: Participants will master the art of adding and blending essential oils in creative ways.
• Creating Custom Oud Perfume Oil: Participants will develop a custom fragrance oil for oud incense tailored to their personal preferences.
• Oud Aging Rules: Participants will understand the essential rules for aging oud and how to enhance its quality.

Workshop Outcomes:

• Participants will be able to produce two distinct types of oud incense, acquiring unique skills in the craft.
