Jasmonite Workshop

Workshop Overview:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is organising a workshop on Jesmonite, an environmentally friendly material that is considered a safer alternative to fiberglass. Jesmonite art is a relatively new art form in the Arabian Gulf region and is practiced on a limited scale due to its relatively new introduction to the field. Jesmonite is used in the creation of various items such as vessels, decorations, accessories, and more. Participants in this workshop will learn the basics of using Jesmonite to create different products.

Workshop Topics:

  • Learn the basics of
  • Learn the material used in Jasmonite.
  • Presenting the effects of Jesmonite and uses in our life.
  • Train the participant to decorate the Jesmonite
  • Train the participant to use specific materials to isolate the Jesmonite surfaces from the water and the dust affects.
  • Give participants full information about the places and websites to buy the necessary Jesmonite’s raw materials which will help them to start their business.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Make a flowerpot, an incense holder, a coaster, and a medal.
