H.E Shaikha Mai Receives  The New  EDB Chief Executive, Continuous cooperation to enhance local cultural scene highlighted

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, received on 4 September 2019, the newly-appointed Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (EDB), Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Hameedan.

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed Mr. Hameedan and congratulated him on his appointment, wishing him every success in bringing about more achievements to Bahrain at the regional and international level. H.E also highlighted the strong relations between Bahrain Culture Authority and the EDB, dating back to many years now, which 
 which yielded many joint cultural projects that reflected Bahrain’s civilizational aspects. H.E has pointed out that Spring of Culture Festival, organized in cooperation with the Economic Development Board and Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammad Al Khalifa Center for Culture & Research, is the best illustration of the constructive communication mechanisms that should prevail between private and public institutions in Bahrain for the sake of a highly developed cultural scene. 
 
Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Hameedan, for his part, lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities,  lauding BACA's role in boosting the kingdom's status on the regional and international cultural map, preserving the national identity at the same time. Mr.  Hameedan thanked H.E  Shaikha Mai for her tireless efforts to enhance the local cultural movement, affirming EDB’s constant readiness to cooperate with BACA in delivering artistic, literary and intellectual activities that would attract visitors  and residents.
