An Open Call for Artists and Instructors to Make Documentary Educational Films, Bahrain Culture Authority’s channel of communication between the public and arts’ creative minds

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities has recently launched a new initiative, enabling artists and instructors to get in touch with the large public and showcase their professional expertise and brilliant skills in arts, all kinds of creative productions and all tendencies via BACA’s online websites. In fact, the artist or the instructor can take part in “Educational Movies’ Series” initiative by filming an educational video documentary, using all photography tools available, including smart phones, and send them afterwards to Bahrain Culture Authority to be broadcasted on its social network channels.

Artists and instructors wishing to take part in this contest are invited to present their recorded movies and documentaries by filling an online form available on the following BACA’s official website: www.culture.gov.bh  and satisfy the following conditions and requirements: First, the video in question should shed lights on one of the artistic trends, such as calligraphy, photography, painting, sculptor, creative manual works, cooking etc. Secondly, the video should clearly point out the main subject matter, the materials and tools used and creative work steps followed.

In addition, artists or instructors are kindly requested to come out with a highly resolution, best quality documented movie not less than 1 minute and not exceeding 45 minutes.  A specialized Arts Committee will select and nominate the movies to be screened publically.

Needless to say that Bahrain Culture Authority will continue to carry out its work plan strategy, masterminding a visionary endeavor transforming the actual daily activities into virtual reality shows and events. In fact, Bahrain Culture Authority started as early as the pandemic outbreak to implement this vision by offering an array of cultural and educational events via its educational portal and other websites on a daily basis. BACA’s e-content is widely versified ranging between exhibitions, world –class concerts, virtual visits to historical sites, museums, visitor centers and shows, documentary films, and interactive activities for the all ages public. This rich cultural e-content can be easily accessed via BACA’s official website www.culture-gov.bh  or via its social networks accounts on @culturebah
