Ayman Haji
My work is inspired by the natural world. The three landscape art works are part of a series of landscape paintings I have been working on and investigating since 2012 .The work is based on vivid childhood memories of places and landscapes I used to live around and see every day. The passage of time made these landscapes visually difficult to remember yet I am emotionally more attach to. The artwork is an attempt to capture what is leftover of the feeling of those places. The mix between what I remember and what I think I remember create a landscape that is unique in its own way.
Depending on memory and sometimes reference images, and through the use of space, light, texture and color on relatively rage scale painting, I attempt to capture the essence of the landscape rather than its physical existence
