An artist, and director of the Culture and Arts Directorate at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the Museum of Fine Arts School & Tufts University, Boston Massachusetts USA (1999), a master's degree in fine arts from UCL at the Slade School of Fine Arts, in London (2002), she began her professional work at the University of Bahrain, where she taught arts, she joined Qatar Museums Authority as Head of Art Education at the Museum of Islamic Art (2008-2011), Then Hala joined the Public Art Department as Education Manager and Curator in the summer “Fire Station - Artist in Residence Program”, in Doha (2011-2015).
Hala has a number of local and international exhibitions, She’s also implemented the distinctive Project (Fire Doha)- where she set up the Fire Station - Artist in Residence Program, in Doha that launched in March 2015.
