The exhibition Cultural Assets: Ibrahim Yousif Hassan Al Hassan Collection presents part of the story of the distinguished Bahraini Al Hassan family, documenting its testimony through key periods and historical events in the Kingdom’s history, showcased through a collection of heritage artefacts and historical acquisitions spanning more than a century. This exhibition is a result of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ initiative to enhance the role of the local community in preserving and promoting Bahrain’s cultural heritage. Al Hassan family generously donated this collection to the Bahrain National Museum, enabling the public to engage with these invaluable pieces.

The exhibition features a rare collection of artefacts dating back to the great grandfather Al Tawash (pearl merchant) Hassan bin Ibrahim Ahmed Al Hassan (1887–1982), highlighting the family’s prominent role in the pearl trade and its continued efforts to advance the cultural and civilisational infrastructure of Muharraq, including their involvement in the founding of Al Hedaya Al Khalifiya School in 1919.
