Arabic Calligraphy Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center is organizing an Arab Calligraphy Workshop. The course introduces the history of Arabic calligraphy and the types of main fonts, and its importance as a kind of art. The participants will learn about the tools used and how to employ them. This is followed by an explanation of how letters are written and their connections by “Diwani” script font and identifies the required right rules of their writing correctly.

First Day:

The Workshop Days

Explains how to write some letters and their connections and learn about the rules that follow to write them correctly with a correction.

 Workshop topics include:

  • Arabic calligraphy history and its main fonts.
  • Diwani's Arabic script history and rules.
  • Learn the tools used in Arabic calligraphy art.
  • How to write letters and words.

 Workshop Outcomes:                   

  • Find out the types of Arabic calligraphy and the tools used.
  • Find out how to write letters and words.
