Terrazzo Tray Workshop

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is organising The Terrazzo Tray with Seashells Workshop. Terrazzo is a composite material, poured in place or precast, which is used for floor and wall treatments. It consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, or other suitable materials, poured with a cementitious binder, polymeric, or a combination of both.

 Terrazzo is a flooring material consisting of chips of marble or granite set in concrete and polished to give a smooth surface.

Workshop topics include:

• Learn about Terrazzo & its history.
• Learn about cement materials.
• Learn how to create colorful cement flakes.
• Learn the method of mixing cement.
• Learn how to make Terrazzo Tray.

Workshop Outcomes

A beautiful Terrazzo Tray & participants will be able to apply the techniques learnt to produce different objects in the future.
