Cement Works Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre is hosting a Cement Works Workshop. Cement is a fine binding material that hardens and becomes tough when mixed with water, capable of binding concrete components together to form a strong building material resistant to various environmental effects. Cement is typically composed of clay, limestone, and there are two types: hydraulic cement and non-hydraulic cement. During this workshop, participants will learn how to use cement to create home decorations.

 Workshop topics include:

• Short presentation high lightening the role of cement and its multiple usage domains in our life.
• Teaching participants conservation and protection methods, with regard cement products, how to use specific materials to isolate the cement surfaces from the water and the dust damage.
• Provide participants with all the information regarding the cement products places and online websites to buy the necessary cement's raw materials, which will help him / her to start his / her business.

Workshop Outcomes:

• Help participants make flowers pot or an incense holder they wish.
• Teach participants how to make a vase.
• Colouring and decorating cement products to be refined, beautiful and attractive.

Age: 14 and above.
