Arabic Calligraphy Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre is hosting a workshop on Arabic Calligraphy. The workshop will introduce the history of Arabic calligraphy and the main types of fonts that form this art. Additionally, it will cover the tools used and how to employ them according to the type of font. This will be followed by an explanation of how to write the letters and their connections in the Diwani font, as well as an overview of the rules to follow for writing it correctly.

 First Day:

An introduction to the history of Arabic calligraphy and the types of main fonts, the participants will learn about the tools used and how to employ them. This is followed by an explanation of how letters are written and their connections.

The Workshop Days

Explains how to write some letters and their connections and learn about the rules that follow to write them correctly with a correction.

Workshop topics include:

• Arabic calligraphy history and its main fonts.
• Diwani's Arabic script history and rules.
• Learn the tools used in Arabic calligraphy art.
• How to write letters and words.
