Pottery on the Wheel (Morning)

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre is organizing a workshop on making pottery using the wheel. Pottery is considered one of the natural products that is used in various industries. By using the wheel, it is possible to shape the Pottery to create pottery pots of various shapes. Homemade products are an example of the development achieved by the Bahraini craftsman, who inherited the secrets of this craft from the ancestors.

Workshop topics include:

•  The trainee will learn about the types of pottery and the tools used in shaping.
• The trainee will discover the methods of pottery wedging and kneading method.
• The trainee learns how to use the wheel to shape and sculp pottery items.

 Workshop Outcomes:

•  The trainee creates a work of art using the pottery wheel.
