Al Jasra Handicrafts Center is organizing a “Doll Crochet” workshop, called “Amigurumi”, the Japanese craft of creating cute crocheted dolls. Blossoming in Japan, the kawaii designs and other patterns have the world taking up crochet to recreate and design their own wonderful creatures and dolls.
Participants will be delighted to learn about different crochet tools used, materials and stitches suitable for knitting beautiful dolls, as well as, understand how most amigurumi patterns start with making a ‘magic circle’, this is simply creating an adjustable circle (usually the top of the head) where you’re able to pull in the hole in the middle compared to simply crocheting a circle which will leave a hole in the center which you can’t adjust. Knitting, crocheting and making the most exquisite patterns will be enjoyed while attending this course with creative entertaining atmosphere.
The workshop duration is 6 hours and will be held in both Arabic and English. Only vaccinated individuals and those who have fully recovered from COVID-19 are allowed to participate. Proof of both must be provided by presenting the green shield via the “BeAware” application.
