Perfume-Making Workshop for Beginners

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes a perfume-making workshop for beginners. Al-Atoor (Perfume in English: Perfume), is mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds (fragrances), fixatives and solvents, usually in liquid form, used to give the human body a nice attractive smell. The use of perfume dates back to at least the Neolithic era, as examples of fragrances have been discovered in ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire, Mesopotamia and Modern European civilizations.

Workshop topics include:

First Day:

• Definition of the history of perfumes
• Learning all types of alcohol used in making fragrances and smells
• Identify the tools used in making perfumes
• Explain how to store perfumes.
• Requirements to be taken into account when making perfumes
• Tools for protection from chemical materials involved in perfume making.

Second Day:

• Ingredients used in making perfumes
• Standards used in the perfume industry
• Getting to know the specifications of perfumes

Third day:

Learning how to make perfumes

Fourth Day

Making perfumes with different scents.

Age: 18 and above.
