Jewellery Design Fundamentals

Al Jasra Handicraft centre is organizing a Jewellery Design Fundamentals Workshop.  Jewelry design is a creative art that is linked to many other fields including engineering, gemstones, metals, colors and many other areas that will help you excel and innovate when you enter the jewelry world. Discover classes on jewelry making, beading and design fundamentals before deciding to be one of the distinguished master of jewelry design. The idea is how to master precious metals design components and highlight their aesthetic beauty and be able to implement it properly.

 Workshop topics:

• Introduction to precious metals.
• Gold carat and types.
• Introduction to gems and diamonds.
• Draw and shading different types of gemstones and minerals.
• Color wheel in jewelry design.
• Designs inspired by different cultures and sources of inspiration.
• Different methods of jewelry design.
• Design a jewelry collection.

 Workshop Outcomes:

At the end of the workshop, each trainee will present:

• A Mood Board based on the selected source of inspiration, whether different types of precious stones or other valuable minerals.
• An Initial design of a jewelry collection (Manual drawing) made up of precious stones as primary materials.

Age group: 18 years and over
