Terrazzo Art Workshop DIY Plant Pot

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center, is organizing “Terrazzo Art Workshop, DIY Plant Pot”. It consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, or other suitable materials, poured with a cementitious binder, polymeric, or a combination of both. Terrazzo is a strong, not very expensive  and durable material.

Workshop topics include:

Day 1

• Learn about Terrazzo marble making and its history
• Learn about cement materials
• Learn about terrazo marble chips and how can you  put more dividers if you want more color changes in the flooring to create colorful cement flakes.
• Learn about the cement mix and mode of traditional terrazzo floors technique.

Day 2

• Learn how to make a terrazzo plant pot
• Learn how to do a terrazo plant pot smooth finish including sanding and surface cleaning.

Workshop Outcomes

Making a beautiful Terrazzo Plant Pot, wherby participants will be able to apply the techniques taught to produce different objects in the future.

Age: 18years or above.
