The Young Artisan is a programme that will debut at Al Jasra Handicrafts Center in August 2022, aiming to teach the young participants the basics of Bahraini Handicrafts and enhance their understanding of the local heritage. The 4 weeks programme will allow the young participants to learn the basics of Palm Frond Weaving, Traditional Chests making, Basics of Engraving on Gypsum and Pottery and Clay Shaping. The kids will be learning to make a small Sofra (mat), a small traditional chest, a pottery piece and a gypsum wall ornament.
