Leather Making Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes Leather Making Workshop for beginners, helps them learn basic techniques, and provides a comprehensive introduction to the basics of leather preparation, tool use, dyeing, finishing and assembly. Most projects require many basic leather crafting skills, some of which include: sewing, cutting, and finishing. Then there are more advanced skills including: skating, sharpening and embroidery sharpening, and embroidery.

 Workshop topics include:

• Getting to know the tools and materials
• Starting to design on paper
• Application to artificial leather
• Training in stitching techniques
• Training in coloring techniques (tanning)

Workshop Outcomes:

 Age: 18 and above.

 Language:  English & Arabic
