Soap Making Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center is organizing a soap-making workshop. Participants will learn the basics of forming soap and methods of scenting it with specific additions of oils and herbs, in addition to other useful information related to this craft. Indeed, soap is considered part of our daily routine, as it is used to clean and treat the skin. Finally, the idea of ​​distributing soap has become a wonderful gift on happy occasions.

 Workshop topics include:

•  Learn about the methods of forming and coloring soap, mixing and perfume it
• Learn about the methods of adding herbs and oils
• Discovering the appropriate standards for monitoring the quality of soap, professionalizing its formation, dealing with problems associated with it, and methods of excellence and innovation in its formation.

 Level 1:

Participants will learn the basics of glycerol soap formation, methods and techniques of soap coloring, perfuming, according to quantity adjustment and professional standards. These methods will be tested in a practical way, together with addressing soap treatment difficulties.

 Level 2:

Participants will be taught and briefed about the technical requirements s and proportions of herbal additives, powders and oils with the application of some recipes in practice. They will also learn how to best insert gifts and dedications’ suggestions inside the soap and discover the places where soap-making tools are available for sale.

Recipes for Level 2 Participants:

•  Oatmeal and honey soap
• Activated charcoal soap
• Pumpkin soap
• Turmeric soap
• Marshmallow soap

 More recipes may be applied based on the instructor's directions.

 Workshop Outcomes:

 Participants are encouraged to come up with many creative ideas with regard to soap formation to add beautiful new  aesthetic touches to the product.

 Age: 18 years old and above
