Pottery Creations

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center is organizing a workshop Pottery Creations for children Indeed, pottery is one of the historical famous Bahraini industries that has been practiced since ancient times, with archaeological research indicating its spread for thousands of years, due to the availability of materials suitable for this industry locally.  The variety of pottery products presented is a model for the development of the Bahraini artisans who inherited the craftsmanship from their ancestors.

Workshop topics include:

• The child recognizes the types of clay and the tools used in shaping.
• The child learns the methods used in kneading and preparing clay.
• The child learns how to color pottery.

Workshop Outcomes:

• The child makes a work of art with pottery.
• Coloring the pottery.

 Age: 5 -11 years

Language:  English & Arabic

• Workshop fees (including all tools).
