The Young Artisan of " Build a Traditional “Barasti” House "

Details of the Workshop:

As part of the "Little Craftsman" initiative, Al Jasra Handicrafts Center will hold “Build a Traditional House (Barasti)" workshop. This workshop provides useful information about traditional building methods and concepts of sustainable architecture.

 Workshop topics include:

•  Identify the methods of construction in the past.
• Identify the names of the palm parts used in construction.
• Identify the principles of construction in the past.

 Workshop Outcomes:

• Making a model of the Barasti

Location:  House of Basket Weaving

Age: 7 – 12 Years

Language:  English & Arabic
