The Young Artisan - Boat Making for kids Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

As part of the "The Young Artisan " program, Al Jasra Handicrafts Center organizes a creative interactive workshop boat making, one of the most famous industries in Bahrain, theart of boat making goes all the way back to the era of the ancient Dilmunians.Their knowledge and skill was perfected by modern day Bahraini craftsmen. IN this workshop, kids will be able to learn the basics of boat making the old-fashioned way, and get to keep their creations as a memento.

Workshop topics include:

• Introducing Bahraini ships.
• Definition of the ship's measurements.
• Ship manufacturing.
• Dyeing the ship.
• Manufacture and installation of the sail

 Workshop Outcomes:

•  Making a wooden ship model
