Jasmonite Art Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre is organising a workshop on Jesmonite, an environmentally friendly material that is considered a safer alternative to fiberglass. Jesmonite art is a relatively new art form in the Arabian Gulf region and is practiced on a limited scale due to its relatively new introduction to the field. Jesmonite is used in the creation of various items such as vessels, decorations, accessories, and more. Participants in this workshop will learn the basics of using Jesmonite to create different products.

Workshop topics include:

  • The trainee learns the basics of
  • The trainer learns the material used in Jasmonite.
  • Presenting the Jesmonite affects and uses in our life
  • Train the trainee to decorate the Jesmonite
  • Train the trainee to use specific materials to isolate the Jesmonite surfaces from the water and the dust affects.
  • Give the trainee the whole information about the places / Websites to buy the necessary Jesmonite’s raw materials which will help him / her to start his / her business.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Training the participant to make a flowerpot, an incense holder, a coaster, and a medal.
