Bakhoor & Perfume Making Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Crafts Centre organises a Bakhoor and Perfume Making Workshop. This craft relies on mixing natural and synthetic materials with beautiful scents in precise proportions to obtain a distinctive perfume. Bakhoor has many forms and different blends, and its uses vary around the world. While in some parts of the Arab world, Bakhoor is used as a generosity gesture for guests, it is used in religious rituals in some regions of Asia.

Workshop topics include:

First Day:

Introducing perfumes and their types, oils and their types, men's and women's oils, and the aromatic pyramid, and an explanation about them.

Second Day:

Learn about the types of perfumes & Bakhoor, the method of their manufacture, incense, its types, and the method of its manufacture.

Third Day:

 Practical application.

Workshop Outcomes:

• Making perfumes with different scents
• Learn how to work (Bahraini incense - lubricated oud - colored frankincense - scented oud)
