Talk with a Craftsman (Al Naqda Embroidery)

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is holding a Talk with a Craftsman (Al Naqda Embroidery).  Al Naqda art is part of old Bahraini traditional heritage, when in those days women’s attire were hand embroidered with real silver thread utilising a special needle known as “Al Naqda”. This workshop aims to train and prepare a group of Bahraini women to be qualified and engage in the Bahraini local industries market through the “Made in Bahrain” project of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, seeking to engage female participants in the circle of traditional art (Al Naqda Bahraini Art).
