Pottery on the Wheel Workshop (Morning)

Workshop Overview:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is hosting a Pottery on the Wheel workshop. Pottery is one of the natural products used in various industries. By shaping it on the pottery wheel, one can create various forms of pottery. This craft falls under traditional handicrafts for which the Kingdom of Bahrain is renowned, due to the local availability of suitable materials. The diversity of locally made pottery products represents the advancement achieved by Bahraini artisans, who have inherited the craft from their ancestors.

 Workshop Topics:

• Learn about the types of pottery and the tools used in shaping.
• Discover the methods of pottery shaping and kneading methods.
• Learn how to use the wheel to shape and sculp pottery.

 Workshop Outcomes:

• Create a work of art using the pottery wheel.
