Al Naqda Embroidery for Beginners

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is holding an interactive workshop Al Naqda art, and its techniques for beginners. Al Naqda is part of Bahraini traditional heritage, when women’s attire was hand embroidered with real silver thread using a special needle known as “Al Naqda”. This workshop aims to train and prepare a group of Bahraini women to engage in the Bahraini local industries market through the “Made in Bahrain” project by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and to enhance their opportunities to join the circle of traditional art.
