Volunteer Opportunity:
Represent the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities invites passionate and committed volunteers with an interest in architecture, art, design or the subject of the upcoming pavilion to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. This unique one-month opportunity offers participants the chance to immerse themselves in a global architectural event, actively engage with international visitors, develop practical skills in exhibition management, and experience the vibrant cultural and architectural landscape of Venice. Volunteers will serve as representative of Bahrain, presenting the Bahrain Pavilion to a diverse audience and building valuable international connections.
Who can apply?
• Must be 21 years old or above on the date of application submission
• Must have an interest in architecture and/or the subject of the upcoming pavilion
• Open to Bahraini nationals and residents
• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and responsibly in an international setting
• Strong communication skills
• Available for a one-month commitment from May to November 2025
What are the key responsibilities?
• Represent Bahrain and engage with a diverse international audience
• Oversee the opening and closing, as well as monitor the pavilion to ensure a smooth visitor experience
• Enhance the visitor experience by answering questions and leading guided tours
• Maintain the pavilion’s organisation, ensuring materials and displays are well-kept
• Document and share pavilion activities and events to the pavilion management team
