The Young Artisan - Palm Tree Leaves Creations Workshop

Workshop Overview:

As part of the Young Artisan program, Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is organising a workshop titled Palm Tree Leaves Creations, which is one of the loveliest traditional handicrafts practiced by women to make household accessories and tools, from dining mats and storage baskets to small dishes and handheld fans. This prominent handicraft is still practiced in many areas of Bahrain.

Workshop Topics:

• Practicing weaving and skilfully handling palm fronds
• Practicing sewing and weaving palm fronds

Workshop Outcomes:

• Making a small medal
