The Young Artisan - Arabic Calligraphy Workshop

Workshop Overview:

As part of the “Young Artisan” programme, Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is hosting an Arabic Calligraphy Workshop. The workshop introduces participants to the history of Arabic calligraphy and its main script styles, as well as the tools used and how to apply them correctly. Participants will also practise writing letters and their connections in the Diwani script, while learning the basic rules for proper writing.

• Learn about Arabic calligraphy, its history, and types

• Practise writing letters and their connections in the Diwani script
• How to write letters and words properly

Workshop Outcomes:

• Master writing letters and words
