In collaboration with the French Embassy and in celebration of Bahraini-French Archaeological Collaboration Week, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is organizing the "Archaeology Walkathon." This event will see approximately 250 participants hike through a number of archaeological sites and historical landmarks across Bahrain. The aim is to introduce participants to Bahrain's rich history and culture, providing them with information about the archaeological sites they visit, in an experience that combines sport and culture.
The event's route includes a 5-kilometer walk starting from the Bahrain Fort site and the surrounding farms, continuing to the Abu Saiba Archaeological Mound, and passing by several other archaeological sites.
