Bahrain Film Days: Celebrating Sea Film will be held between November 26 and 30 at the City Centre Bahrain cinema complex.
It will feature a varied and integrated programme, including films from different Asian countries, highlighting the different cultures and traditions to deliver the best films and cinematic features released this year.
The Bahrain Cinema Days will open this Wednesday on November 26, 2014 at 6.30pm at City Centre Bahrain’s cinema complex. Guests include artists and filmmakers from all over the world. The festival will also honour Bahraini Sayed Khalifa Shaheen, Kuwaiti Khalid Sadeeq, Eygptian Sayed Dawood Abdel Sayed at the opening ceremony.
The film festival will start screening at 11am until 10:30 pm at City Centre Bahrain cinema complex. These will include Bahraini, Asian and international movies from a variety of different creative ideas and inspirations, as well as diverse artistic schools.
In addition the films screened, there will be a number of seminars and cultural events held at Bahrain Fort as part of the festival.
On Friday, November 28, a seminar called: “the Sea in Film” will center around the sea’s place in the cinematic arts, both in the past and in contemporary films. On the panel will be Syrian Thaer Dayeb, Eygptian Amal Al Jamal and Lebanese Ebrahim Al Arees.
On Saturday, November 29, a seminar called: “Film and Television: Divergence or Separation” will be head, with panel members Moroccan Khalil Al Damoon, Frenchman Mamoon Albani and Jordanian Adnan Madnaat.
