Majid Al Muhandis, an acclaimed singer and composer. Growing up, Al Muhandis wanted to study music, but his parents refused, which led him to study engineering. As a graduate in engineering, he acquired the title "Al Muhandis”, which means "The Engineer" in Arabic. His first steps towards his dream was accomplished when Al Muhandis moved to Jordan. He began his artistic career with the song “MOSHKELA” and later began to gain popularity with “Ala Modek” and “Waheshni Moot”, where he reached a wide fan base in Iraq and across the Arab region. By appearing on the “Talk of the Town” show, he was able to grab Rotana Audio and Visual’s attention and they joined ventures by signing “The Contract”. Now, Majd al Muhandis has several songs composed by important artists like AbdelRab Idris, Mohammad Abdo, Rabeh Sakr and Khathem Al Saher. In 2012, he released a new album “Ana Wayyak” that gained great success, especially because it was launched on 8 October 2012 in Royal Albert Hall, London. After, Al Muhandis released four video clips of his new album’s songs “Saharni Halaha”, “Ana Wayyak” and “Leit Lee” and “Ana Hanet”, which won the admiration of the audience. Al Muhandis won many awards among them were 2005 The 6th International Video Clips Oscars Festival for “Waheshni Mot VC”, in 2009 Best Singer Award in “Zahrat Al Khalij” Mag Referendum, in 2010 Murex D’Or Award for best Arab Singer, and in 2012 Murex D’Or Award for best Arab Singer. Last, but not least, he has been named Prince of Arabic Singers.
