This band consists of the finest artists among members of the folk groups in the Kingdom, who has been distinguished performers. The band took part in the Second Festival of Arabic Music held in Paris on May 14, 2001. Due to the success it achieved there, the Culture and National Heritage Sector of the Ministry of Information decided to place it on the list of bands supported by the Ministry.

The band performs various types of traditional arts such as Saut, Basteh, Khamari and other folk songs. However, the art of Urban Vocal art ( Sout ) has a prominent place among its activities.

The band endeavors to give opportunity to many of its members to exhibit their talents as well as cooperating with non-member artists as exemplified in the concert of November 10, 2001 when it accompanied pioneers of the folklore such as Abdul Wahed Abdulla, Majed Oun and Isa Bushaqer. It is worth noting that many of the members are also oud players in addition to being solo vocalists. The band also consists of violinists, dulcimer players in addition to percussionists.
