The Art Centre presents recent works of the renowned Bahraini artist Abdulrahim sharif whose career spans nearly 50 years. Rahim's research on the subject of immortality in art, drew him to three important elements of creation; behavior, pulse and entity. The combination of these elements became the point of the birth and rebirth of the soul of his painting in multiple layers of voice and gesture; of energies, thoughts and emotions that lie behind the physical nature of things. He believes that immortality in art is achieved when both physical and mental energy unite in the process of creation, which brings him to the conclusion: it is not what we paint but how we paint.
