Folk medicine has been present in Bahrain since ancient time. The old civilizations of Dilmun and Tylos extracted medicine from plants around them to help them heal from various illnesses. Participate in our tour, which begins from the Qal’at Al Bahrain site museum to learn about these plants and herbs that hold medicinal and healing qualities, followed by a visit to a nearby factory to watch the distillation process of the folk medicine that is derived from these plants.
