The past 5 years have been very fruitful for archaeologists in the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the various foreign archaeological missions from France, Japan, Denmark, and the UK, yielding important results about the island’s ancient history, especially the Early and Late Dilmun, Tylos, and Islamic periods. Dr. Pierre Lompard will highlight the excavations carried out in the pre-Islamic periods at the Bahrain Fort, Hillat Al-Abd Al-Saleh, and Al-Malkiya.
