Weaving is one of the traditional crafts in Bahrain. Bani Jamra; one of the many small villages in Bahrain is known for a special sewing machine that is made of wooden planks, bamboo, strings and ropes.
The cotton yarns that are usually used in weaving are mostly in red and black but occasionally the weavers will also use woolen and silk threads.
