A screening of a silver screen classic featuring a cast of the biggest stars of Egyptian cinema. This film, directed by Youssef Shaheen, tells the story of a 1930’s Egyptian village as it struggles against Mahmoud Baik, a tyrannical feudal lord who deprives its residents of water and steals their land to irrigate and pave a private road to his farm.
