If Baroque music is the expression of the “theatre of passions”, then what about Mozart’s operas?
Do you want something tragic? Listen to Pamina singing “Ach ich fühl’s”.
Something charming? “La ci darem la mano” by Don Giovanni and Zerlina.
Something sad “Fuor del mar” by Idomeneo.
Something mocking? “Non più andrai farfallone amoroso” by Figaro.
And what about the ensembles which the brilliant Wolfgang Amadeus puts to music better than anyone else?
