Dr. Rashed Najem Al-Najem
Vice-President of Bahrain Writers Association

The word "fayy" in our local dialogue means "shade", which signifies the passing of time, and the word "barayeh" (plural of baraha) are large open spaces where people gather, and it signifies space. This lecture highlights the meanings of time and place in the modern Bahraini song and how they became time capsules of bygone times and places due to various development factors.
