Directed by Tawfiq Saleh, one of the pioneers of realism of Egyptian cinema, based on a novel of the same name by Tawfiq al-Hakim (1937). The film tackles the sociopolitical situation in Egypt through the story of the prosecutor in the countryside where a murder occurred while the village was busy with the parliamentary elections. Starring Ahmed Abdel Halim and Tawfeeq aldeqn.
