This lecture provokes the question of western travelers to the Arab region especially during the era of colonial dissolution and the question of “neo-orientalism”, in contrast to “old orientalism”, a subject broached by the academic and researcher Ali Behdad – an expert in Cultural Studies - in his important book “Belated Travelers: Orientalism in the Age of Colonial Dissolution”.
