This two day workshop will be an overview of the practical elements a writer needs to consider when writing a screenplay. Attendees will also write a short scene of their own to be read and discussed by the class. Taught by novelist Bret Lott, whose book Jewel was made into the 2001 film of the same name starring Farah Fawcett and Cicely Tyson, this course will examine scenes from screenplays made from Lott's own work, as well as scenes from other films.
