Published in 1988, the groundbreaking novel "The Alchemist", by Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho, was applauded as one of the masterpieces of contemporary literature. The novel has been translated into over 80 languages, in addition to entering the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most translated novel by a living author. To date 210 million copies have been sold in more than 170 countries, making it one of the bestsellers in world history.
The novel is philosophical in its content, full of wisdom and experiences that pass on the words of the characters, allowing us as readers to extract them and apply them to our personal journeys. The novel also allows us to address the mystery of human purpose and existence, while reflecting on our realities and our dreams.
The exhibition is held by “We All Read” society, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, at Studio 244 - Arad Bay Protected Area and Park.
