In celebration of International Day of Peace, which was announced by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981, aiming to promote the ideals and values of peace among nations and citizens, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities will host a musical performance starring Oud player Saad Mahmood Jawad, accompanied by “Musicians Without Borders”.
During the performance, Saad Jawad, who was appointed as “Peace Ambassador” by the International Organization “Peace Without Limits” in 2018, will be joined by seven professional musicians from different nationalities and cultures, who are all united by the language of love and peace.
In addition, AlBayarq AlBayda Society and “Inspire” team will take part in the ceremony, representing peace in their own way.
Apart from the performance, a noteworthy achievement by Saad Jawad is that he has entered the Guinness Book of World Records through continuously playing the Oud for a consecutive 24 and a half hours during the Bahrain National Museum’s anniversary from 15-16 December 2018, as part of the Authority’s “National Celebrations” program.
